Stamped Concrete

Stamping is the process of creating a stone-like appearance on your existing concrete surface. After thoroughly prepping your surface, a thick overlay is poured onto the surface. The stone appearance is created by pressing a patterned mat into the texture while it is still soft. Textures such as granite, sandstone, pavers, wood and slate can be created.

Stamps are available in a wide range of patterns. Stamped concrete can make a dramatic impression, and there are many reasons why homeowners, businesses, and municipalities are choosing stamped concrete to enhance their landscapes and buildings. From a cobblestone driveway to a stone patio, the look of textured concrete is not only realistic but also bears the permanent durability of concrete. Concrete is also cost-effective over alternative materials such as pavers, or natural stone.

Installation is quicker and the final product is long- lasting, can mimic natural materials in color and design, and is therefore, more economical. Stampable overlay is used to resurface driveways, patios, pool areas, malls, theme parks, parking lots, interiors and exteriors. It helps turn your ordinary concrete into beautiful works of art. It is ideal for restoration or repair on interior and exterior surfaces. Color release is designed to work with stamping tools to enhance the texture and provide an accent color in any hardscape, available in most colors. Stamped Concrete vs. Pavers

Many of our customers choose stamped concrete to achieve the look of pavers. Stamped concrete is about 1/3 the cost, lower maintenance and more durable than pavers. Stamped concrete is indistinguishable from real pavers. Traditional pavers are labor intensive because they must be fitted together by hand. You’ll spend about 1/3 less on stamped concrete for the same look. Pavers require more maintenance as they are set on a sand base, causing settling and often needing to be re-leveled every 5 years. Plus, ants and weeds in the joints require constant attention. Stamped concrete is durable and impenetrable. The sealed surface protects against moisture and the elements, and it is recommended that stamped concrete be resealed once every 3 to 4 years or every 1 to 2 years to protect the surface and revive colors.
